Each detail has been curated to create a space that combines best-in-class aged care and service delivery, with lifestyle elements to suit the changing nature of residential aged care.

Unveiling Lotus House, Classic, Deluxe and Premium Levels
The pursuit of excellence and innovation remains at the heart of what we do at Leigh Place. We are therefore proud to announce that we have commenced welcoming residents to all levels of Lotus House.
Each level of Lotus House provides unique and high-quality aged care accommodation, styled and priced to reflect the diverse needs of our community.
The new building includes three levels, representing our Classic, Deluxe and Premium Level rooms.
Whilst the fixtures and fittings, amenities and service options on each level are unique, Lotus House offers all residents:
Design elements
- Accessible and dementia-friendly design;
- Based on the ‘small household’ model of accommodation, representing smaller, lower-density congregate living arrangements and home-like features including shared dining areas and kitchen spaces on each level;
- Appropriate safety features;
- Spaces to allow for gatherings of family and friends, including outdoor areas, together with opportunity for residents to be alone / quiet spaces, sitting areas, balconies, and fireside nooks etc.;
- Connection to the Bennett Park greenspace providing a direct link to the broader Roselands community;
- Designed with our diverse community in mind;
- Generous room dimensions;
- Designed to accommodate ageing in place;
- Design elements reviewed by Dementia Australia;
- Building design focused on person-centred care that maximises the independence of our residents and participation in routine, domestic activities in a homelike setting, with individual rooms and increased access to the outdoors;
- Outdoor living spaces integral to the design;
- Direct connection to existing Leigh Place village streetscape.
Fixtures, Fittings and Furnishings
- Air conditioning units that allow residents or staff members to set individual temperatures based on the resident’s individual level of comfort, through easy-to-use control systems;
- Rooms that are professionally styled, with fittings including large built-in-robes, flat screen television, connections for telephone, cable television and internet, larger bed, bedside table, visitor’s chair, with high quality joinery, fittings and furnishings.
- Provision of a number of small sitting areas located throughout the building / on each floor, a central dining room adjoining a commercial-grade kitchen, multiple meeting/activity rooms, library and outdoor garden spaces and courtyards with seating.
- Appropriate glazing on windows and insulation.
As the Ground Floor and Level 1 Classic and Deluxe areas fill, we have begun introducing residents to our Level 2 Premium accommodation, a purpose-built space that responds to the increasing demand for high-quality aged care accommodation that also meets the lifestyle needs of our elderly.
Our Premium Level was designed for residents with lower care needs, desiring contemporary aged care options. The apartment-style living caters to a small group of residents (9 rooms in total) with access to the finest amenities including relaxing lounge and dining areas, fireside nooks, private outdoor balconies, and a large terrace offering expansive park and district views.
Level 2 represents the pinnacle of our comprehensive approach to elderly care, and desire to cater to the diverse and varied needs of our community. Every aspect has been meticulously crafted to offer an elevated experience. Our residents deserve nothing short of exceptional, and that is precisely what Lotus House embodies on every level.
The Premium Level accommodation is built for luxury, style, and comfort and includes:
- Spacious and elegantly furnished private rooms designed to provide comfort and style while maintaining a home-like feel.
- Access to exclusive-use common areas. These include landscaped gardens, courtyards, private balconies, and large indoor and outdoor areas for gathering with family and friends.
- Private kitchenettes with tea and coffee making facilities.
- Premium King Single adjustable beds.
- Modern designer-selected furnishings (bed covers, pillows, curtains, carpets, and more!).
- In-room bar fridge.
- Large, wall-mounted flat screen TV.
- State of the art, 24/7 Nurse Call system.
- Premium carpeting, lighting fixtures, and other high-quality finishes; and
- Access to a range of additional services.

Our Premium Rooms on Level 2 introduce a modern style and hotel-like features and amenities.
The top level rooms are light-filled, with sweeping green or district views, and introduce contemporary, designer selected fixtures and furnishings.
This spacious residence was designed for residents and families wanting a touch of luxury and a broader range of additional services.

Welcome to Our Community
Leigh Place prides itself on our home-like look and feel, and central village streetscape, creating an environment where our residents thrive in a close-knit living community.
Our new building retains the small household model at its core. Each resident has their own kitchenette, built-in storage, table, and sitting area / nook.
Each floor includes a beautiful open plan communal kitchen – where residents, families, and friends can gather around the kitchen bench and make a cup of tea. There are several living and lounging spaces on each level, including large outdoor balconies and communal gardens.
Our new building is thoughtfully designed to maintain connection with community.
Its park-side location and garden walk, connecting residents to the existing houses, helps to foster and maintain our village-like atmosphere.
Inclusion of hands-on gardens, private and group learning spaces, and places for communal activities (such as cooking classes or entertainment) are strategic design elements.
The new building is the living embodiment of our organisational purpose and values. Care, Compassion, Community and Choice, together with dignity, environment, and quality of life, are integral to the building’s design – built for the Leigh Place community, with deliberate intent to foster engagement.
