High Care and Low Care
Individual care is provided to ensure all residents are looked after according to their needs. “Care” is not limited to medical or health needs alone, however. It also encompasses such aspects as spiritual needs, personal care and social and emotional care.
Dementia Support
Leigh Place offers specific accommodation for residents who are suffering from dementia of all types, allowing for maximum discreet staff supervision. This house has a higher ratio of staff to residents, with additional personal assistance available 24 hours a day. Staff are chosen for their personal qualities and understanding of the special needs of dementia sufferers and their families.
Respite Services
Respite care caters for people normally being cared for in the community, to allow their carers to have a break. It is also available for people who normally live independently but who may temporarily require additional assistance.
On-site Registered Nurse
Our on-site nurses are here to assist residents with everything from medication to assistance with dressings and all emergency needs.
24 Hour Emergency Call
No matter what the hour, help is always at hand. Staff are on site at all times and on call 24 hours a day with our Vital Call Emergency Call System. Each unit has a security alert wall button and all residents are provided with a mobile alert pendant for additional peace of mind.
Doctor and Pharmacy Services
Each resident can request their own GP to make home visits to Leigh Place. We also organise specialist appointments and same day deliveries from our local pharmacy.
Allied health and other services
We can easily arrange home visits for physiotherapist, audiologist, podiatrist, hairdresser, or other services.
Meal Assistance
Our friendly multi-skilled staff (our “Homemakers”) provide excellent, well-prepared meals in our six communal dining areas three times a day. They also provide individual assistance for our residents, if required.
Laundry Services
We also look after all of our residents’ personal laundry needs. Leigh Place has a state of the art laundry so our staff will make your bed for you with fresh, clean linen.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Leigh Place maintains the highest standards of cleanliness both in residents units and communal areas. Our Maintenance team ensures everything works as it should, around the clock.
