At Leigh Place, our focus is all about creating true quality of life.
We are proud of the genuine community way of living that our home-style environment offers our aged care residents.
You’ll often hear it said that, “it’s not like moving into an institution; it’s like moving into a new house!”
Both you and your family can relax, knowing that you’re in the safest of hands, where the right care for you or your loved one is our top priority.
More than anything else, we give our residents the freedom to enjoy themselves by offering as many opportunities as possible to do so.
The exceptional support we give means that there is often more opportunity for residents to experience real independence and participation in life at Leigh Place than when living at home.
Leigh Place provides a constantly changing, comprehensive range of leisure activities and each resident is free to join in as much – or as little – as they like.
From bus outings, walking programs, crafts, bingo and themed food days, to visiting entertainers, special events, shopping trips or an entertaining film in our very own in-home cinema, there is something for everyone to participate in, if they wish.
Easily accessible walkways mean that everyone can take advantage of the landscaped gardens at Leigh Place. We also provide a shared barbecue area for residents and their families. It’s a great place for loved ones to spend time together, enjoying a meal and making lasting memories.
Roselands offers all the amenities you expect, from a major shopping centre, parkland, doctors, pharmacists to allied health professionals.
Joining Leigh Place
Every application to live at Leigh Place is carefully considered to ensure fairness and priority for those with the greatest need.
Our allocation process helps us to make decisions that are in the best interests of everyone – our applicants, our residents and our staff.
How to apply
The first step is to meet with our General Manager who will discuss your particular requirements and explain eligibility criteria.
There are two levels of eligibility assessment for aged care accommodation at Leigh Place.
The first assessment is made in your home and is conducted by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT), using Commonwealth Guidelines.
After this, Leigh Place will discuss your eligibility with you. We give preference to those who are local residents and who have the greatest need. Over half of our apartments are allocated to people with limited financial resources.
Once eligibility has been determined, we will make a recommendation regarding which form of accommodation we believe to be the best living solution for you or your family member.
We will work closely with you and your family to prepare you for residency and to ensure that the transition to living at Leigh Place is as smooth and stress free as possible.
